Beware ! Every dog has a day !

BETWEEN HEAVEN & HELL

Its almost 5 years now that I have not made any cartoon. Swallowed all my anger against the evil designs of politicians and fanatics in the name of Almighty God against the helpless common public. How many writers reporters and cartoonists died or sacrificed their freedom of expression over the last 5 years, in India and all over the world. I didn't want to give easy publicity to such people through my cartoons. Now I feel a ray of hope of freedom of expression is emerging. I have made up my mind to restart cartooning through this blog.

A Cartoon is supposed to make people laugh or atleast smile. Or make them think differently through humorous strokes. I too wish, to make everyone happy. But the daily news and happenings make me sad and angry. How else could I react other than making a cartoon ? Log on daily and feel free to share ur views with others. B.Com from Maharajas college, Ernakulam. A self taught creative person. Passionate on cartooning/ illustrations/Painting

30 creative years in Visual Media, this the summary of my career.

Started career with a popular children's magazine "Poompatta" in Kerala in 1980 at Cochin. Moved to New Delhi in 1982 and worked with leading Advertising agencies of Delhi as a Visualizer/illustrator/ Art Director and Creative Director for 14 years, and another 12 years in IT/ Animation and cartooning. Head of Media group at NIIT Ltd, Delhi and Creative Director and project consultant of Escotoonz entertainment & Animation Studio, Faridabad. 7 years teaching experience in Art. Visual Communication course curriculum developed for College of Art, Delhi University, and taught MFA students of Visual Communication. Faculty of Visual Communication at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi

-Media group head of NIIT Ltd(1996-99)

-DK Multimedia(2000)

-Founding project consultant & Creative Director Of Escotoonz Animation studio.(2000)

-Last 10 years: Creative consultant for various design houses,2D Animation,Illustrations and cartoons for various publishers, and Ad agencies, Oil and Glass paintings for many churches, institutions and Art Collectors of Delhi and so on were the recent assignments.

Cartoon column on socio- political issues- "KAANAAPPURAM" in Malayala Manorama Delhi Edition since 2007. Animation and Visual Communication Course caricullum developed and taught at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Animation Academy, New Delhi, College of Art (Delhi University) and IADS Cochin

Painting exhibitions (1992-93), Cartoon Exhibitions (2008) AIFACS New Delhi. Took part in many Animation and art workshops.
